Our vision for a greener future

At vietrust, we believe that true sustainability is not an optional extra, but a fundamental principle on which the future of urban life should be built. Our goal is not just to construct buildings, but to create smarter, greener and more sustainable communities. We view every project as an opportunity for innovation, integrating environmental responsibility at every stage: from the choice of materials to the design of energy systems. This is our commitment: to create durable spaces that have a positive impact on our environment and improve the well-being of future generations.

The value of what already exists

Before building something new, we assess the potential of existing urban infrastructure. Our focus on renovation rather than new construction is the cornerstone of our carbon reduction strategy. By breathing new life into existing structures, we preserve architectural heritage and significantly reduce our impact on the environment. This approach dramatically reduces the demand for raw materials, limits demolition waste and lowers the carbon footprint associated with construction.

Materials that stand the test of time and can be renewed

The integrity of our buildings is determined by the materials we choose. We favour environmentally friendly, durable and recyclable materials that extend the life cycle of our buildings and are in line with the principles of the circular economy.

By choosing components that can be reused or recycled, we minimise waste. Our focus on the intelligent use of materials, including the application of the sustainable Ziegelit® construction method in new buildings, ensures that our buildings are not only environmentally friendly, but also highly resistant to the challenges of climate change.

Efficient resource management: energy and water

We design and implement fully integrated systems in which each component works in harmony to achieve maximum efficiency.

  • Energy: Our approach includes intelligent building technologies (automatic control of heating, cooling and lighting), high-performance insulation (modern solar and thermal insulation glass, including triple-glazed windows) and the integration of renewable energy sources such as solar panels to reduce dependence on traditional power grids.
  • Water: We implement a comprehensive water conservation strategy, combining water-saving technologies (low-flow faucets, efficient showerheads, dual-flush toilets) and efficient landscape design. The use of drought-resistant native plants and smart irrigation systems allows us to create beautiful green spaces with minimal water consumption.

Connected communities, reduced environmental impact

Our vision of sustainable development extends beyond the walls of our buildings. We strategically design and locate our properties to promote healthy lifestyles and sustainable transportation.

  • Designing for sustainable transportation: We select properties with excellent access to public transportation, shops and local amenities to reduce daily dependence on private cars. Our properties are integrated into the city's transport network and equipped with electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, dedicated car-sharing facilities and spacious, secure bicycle parking.
  • Supporting biodiversity in cities: We strive to coexist harmoniously with nature. Our landscape design is based on the use of local plant species that support local fauna and require less water. By creating vibrant green spaces, we help build a healthier, more balanced relationship between the urban and natural environments.

Our commitment to continuous improvement

Our path to sustainability is a continuous process of innovation. We strive to push the boundaries of what is possible and are constantly looking for new ways to improve our environmental performance. Our future initiatives include further integrating circular economy principles and expanding green building certifications, such as LEED or BREEAM, across our portfolio.
